Grand Commemoration of the Father of Value Engineering, L.D. Miles!
21st April marked the 121st Birth Anniversary of L.D. Miles, the Father of Value Engineering. The event was celebrated in hybrid mode at Centre for Excellence, Jamshedpur. More than 80 participants joined the prestigious event.
The event comprised of excellence talks by the guest experts, paper presentation and an interesting quiz too! The hybrid event had an encouraging response. The learnings from speeches and knowledge sharing through paper were well received by the participants.
It was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Mr. U.K. Singh, MD, TRF; Guest of Honour Mr. Tapas Sahu, CEO and MD, HIGHCO; Mr. Shakti Senapati, COO, RKFL and Special Guest Ms. Madhu Singh, HoD, Electrical, NIT Jamshedpur.
The event served as a significant opportunity to pay tribute to L.D. Miles’ visionary contributions and to reaffirm our commitment for advancing the principles of Value Engineering.

A Milestone for Value Engineering in India!
The Indian Value Engineering Society (INVEST) is proud to announce that 12 Value Practitioners from India have received the prestigious Certified Value Specialist (CVS) certification from SAVE International as of 10th May 2025. With this, India now proudly counts 31 CVS professionals, joining an elite global community of only 1,150 specialists worldwide !
This top-tier certification empowers these experts to lead certification training programs, mentor professionals, and drive high-impact VE studies and projects.
Congratulations to the dedicated aspirants and heartfelt gratitude to the CVS guides – Rajan Nagre, Dilip Gowaikar, Anita Lukose, Dayanand Bhosale, and DKSN Murthy – whose mentorship was instrumental in this achievement.
We also thank the INVEST Certification Board (ICB), led by Chairman Rajan Nagre, for his visionary leadership, steering this rigorous certification journey and contributing towards elevating India’s position on the global VE map.
Anita Lukose, CVS, honoured as Fellow of SAVE International
INVEST takes immense pride in celebrating the achievement of Ms Anita Lukose, CVS, FINVEST, for being honored with the prestigious Fellowship of SAVE International at the Value Summit, 2024. A Fellow is recognized as one of the SAVE International’s value engineering experts based on technical competence, accomplishment, service, ethical conduct and professional leadership. With this fellowship, Ms Anita has joined the league of 75 fellows at the ‘College of Fellows’ of SAVE International. The Fellows serve as ambassadors for SAVE, with the obligation to serve the value profession through furthering the Value Methodology (VM).
Ms Anita is a member of National Council; Member of INVEST Certification Board; Secretary, South Zonal Council; and Member of Editorial Board of INVAVE, the quarterly journal of INVEST on Value Methodology. We wish her the best in her forthcoming endeavors!
